1. System Overview

The FSSS system, namely the Furnace Safety Supervision System, can also be referred to as the Burner Management System (BMS). The furnace safety monitoring system is a monitoring system that must be equipped for modern large thermal power unit boilers. It can continuously and closely monitor a large number of parameters and states of the combustion system under various operating modes such as normal operation and startup/shutdown of the boiler, continuously perform logical judgments and calculations, issue action instructions when necessary, and ensure that relevant components in the combustion equipment strictly follow established reasonable procedures through various interlocking devices, Complete necessary operations or handle near misses to ensure the safety of the boiler combustion system. In fact, it uses a logic control system to implement the safe operation procedures of the combustion system. Using the BMS system can not only automatically complete various operations and protection actions, but also avoid erroneous actions by operators during manual operations, and can timely perform quick actions that are too late for manual operation, such as emergency shutdown and tripping.

The FSSS system is generally divided into two parts, namely, the burner control system (BCS) and the fuel safety system (FSS). The function of the burner control system is to monitor and control the boiler combustion system equipment to ensure the safe start, stop, and operation of the igniter, oil gun, and coal pulverizer systems. The function of the fuel safety system is to purge the furnace before ignition of the boiler and after tripping and shutdown to prevent the accumulation of combustibles in the furnace. When detecting operating conditions that threaten the safety of equipment and personnel, start the main fuel trip (MFT), quickly cut off the fuel, and emergency shutdown the boiler.

4. System configuration

The following equipment can be provided to users:

◆ Logic system: Programmable controllers such as SIEMENS from Germany, Modicon from Schneider from France, and PLC from AB from the United States are used, and DCS can also be used to achieve the functions of FSSS.

◆ Logic control host cabinet;

◆ Local control cabinet;

◆ Power cabinet;

◆ Flame detection cabinet;

◆ Flame detection device: flame detection probe, signal processor, and special cable;

◆ Flame cooling air system: cooling fan, conversion baffle, fan local cabinet, and differential pressure switch;

◆ Fuel system: oil quick cut-off valve, oil regulating valve, oil angle valve, oil purge valve, oil atomization valve, oil pressure switch, oil differential pressure transmitter, and oil temperature switch

◆ Furnace pressure switch: furnace pressure high pressure switch, furnace pressure low pressure switch, furnace pressure high alarm switch, furnace pressure low alarm switch;

◆ Terminal display system: computer, LED display (or touch screen), communication interface, and cable.
